Effective date: 8 August 2026
Kickstart Bahrain WLL (“Kickstart Bahrain”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of everyone who visits our website, enquires about our services, or becomes a member of our coworking space. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have under the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018, the “PDPL”).
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. By using our website or submitting a form to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

- Address: 2nd Floor, Office 209, Falcon Tower, Diplomatic Area, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain
- CR Number: 117024-1
- Email: info@kickstart.bh
- Phone / WhatsApp: +973 6637 0888
For the purposes of the PDPL, Kickstart Bahrain WLL is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this Policy.
2. Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data in the following ways:
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Enquiry and tour-booking data — when you submit our “Book a Free Tour” form: first name, last name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address, the type of space you’re interested in, your preferred visit day, and any message you include.
- Event registration data — when you register for an event through our Event Registration Form: first name, last name, email, phone, company/organisation, number of attendees, your dropdown selection(s), and any additional questions or comments you provide.
- Membership and business-setup data — if you become a member or use our company/CR registration, visa support, or licensing services, we may collect additional information such as company details, commercial registration information, identification documents, and other data required to deliver those services or required by Bahraini authorities (e.g. the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Labour Market Regulatory Authority, or immigration authorities).
- Direct communications — information you share when you contact us by email, WhatsApp, phone, or in person.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information using cookies and similar tracking technologies, including:
- Analytics data (e.g. via Google Analytics) — pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, approximate location, and referral source, used to understand how visitors use our website.
- Advertising data (e.g. via Google Ads and the Meta/Facebook Pixel) — information used to measure the performance of our advertising and to show you relevant Kickstart Bahrain ads on other websites and platforms.
- Conversion data — when you submit a form on our website, we record that a lead/conversion occurred so we can measure which marketing channels are effective; this does not, by itself, identify you to the advertising platform beyond what you have already provided.
3. How We Use Your Personal Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry or tour booking, and to follow up with you about the spaces or services you asked about.
- To register you for an event you have signed up for and to manage that event.
- To provide our services, including coworking membership, business setup, CR registration, visa support, licensing, and access to our mentor network, EdTech accelerator, and podcast studio.
- To communicate with you about your membership, bookings, invoices, or matters relevant to your use of our services.
- For marketing purposes, such as sending updates about Kickstart Bahrain events, offers or news, and showing you relevant ads — only where you have consented, and you may withdraw that consent at any time (see Section 8).
- To operate and improve our website, including analysing traffic and usage patterns.
- To comply with our legal obligations, including obligations to Bahraini regulatory and licensing authorities, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where we rely on your consent (for example, the consent checkbox on our forms, or marketing communications), you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it. Where we rely on contractual necessity or a legal obligation, providing the relevant data is usually required for us to deliver the service you have requested.
4. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers who support our operations, such as our website host, form and email service providers, and WhatsApp Business, under agreements that require them to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
- Analytics and advertising platforms, namely Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram Pixel), which process data under their own privacy policies and may process it outside Bahrain.
- Government and regulatory authorities in Bahrain, where required for business registration, licensing, visa, tax, or other legal purposes, or where we are legally required to disclose information.
- Professional advisers (e.g. lawyers, accountants) where necessary for us to obtain advice or manage our business.
- A buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. International Data Transfers
Some of the third-party tools we use (including Google and Meta) may store or process personal data on servers located outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. Under the PDPL, personal data may only be transferred outside Bahrain to a country that provides an adequate level of protection, or where another lawful basis applies (such as your consent, or the transfer being necessary to perform a contract with you). Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it continues to be protected in line with the PDPL and this Policy.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide our services, meet legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements, and resolve disputes. As a general guide:
- Enquiry and event registration data is generally retained for a limited period after your enquiry or event, unless you become a member or otherwise engage us further.
- Membership and business-setup records are retained for the duration of your agreement with us and for the period required by Bahraini commercial, tax, and regulatory record-keeping requirements afterwards.
- Website analytics and advertising data is retained in line with the relevant platform’s (Google’s or Meta’s) default retention settings, unless we configure a shorter period.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure, including access controls and secure handling of enquiry and membership records. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights Under the PDPL
Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the PDPL, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your personal data is processed (as set out in this Policy).
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Erasure or blocking — ask us to delete or stop processing your personal data where it is being processed unlawfully or is no longer needed.
- Object to processing of your data, including for direct marketing purposes.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on your consent.
- Not be subject to purely automated decision-making that significantly affects you, subject to the exceptions in the PDPL.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@kickstart.bh or +973 6637 0888. We will aim to respond within the timeframes required by the PDPL (generally within 10–15 working days of a verified request). We may ask you to verify your identity before actioning a request.
